THINGS TO BRING TO DAKTARI

Do you have leftover space in your luggage? We would love if you could bring us some stuff.

Here’s a list of things we’re always in need of. These are things that don’t cost a lot and shouldn’t take up too much space. It would be more than awesome if you could fill up the leftover space in your suitcase and help us out a bit.

And don’t forget, you can use that leftover space to fill your suitcase with lovely souvenirs when you go back home! 😉

For the kids:

  • Raincoats or ponchos in mixed sizes
  • Individual toiletries such as shower gel or lotion
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Swimsuits for both boys and girls
  • Watches
  • Decks of cards or games like UNO
  • Sweets or candy (but no chocolate please, it melts ☹️)

For the environmental education program:

  • Glue sticks
  • Permanent markers and whiteboard markers
  • Pens and pencils
  • Name tags
  • Arts & crafts supplies

For the Job Hunting Program:

  • Laptops (they can be old, but should still work)

For the camp:

  • (Rechargeable) batteries in sizes AA or AAA
  • Mattress protectors for single mattresses
  • Bedding for single beds
  • Mosquito nets
  • Towels
  • Dish cloths and sponges

For the animals:

  • Bravecto Flea and Tick tablets for medium/large dogs
  • Deworming tablets for dogs
  • Panacur BS deworming liquid for cattle/sheep
  • Bottle teats for sheep/cattle
  • Large baby bottles
  • Bottle sterilising tablets
  • Digital thermometers for oral use
  • Kong dog toys
  • Toys for rodents (hamsters & guinea pigs)
  • Essential oils (peppermint, lavender & lemon)
  • Dried mealworms
