I couldn't have asked for a better destination for my first time travelling. At DAKTARI, I felt like a part of the team from day one and I felt supported to teach the children in a way that worked for me. It was so rewarding to see the kids learn and grow through their time at school. And, of course, it was incredible to work with the animals and get cuddles from Karool!! The team are amazing, the children are really special, and the animals are incredible. I will truly treasure every memory I made here and I will definitely be back in the future.

A human experience far from the big volunteer places. Here you really are a part of it, teaching lessons, taking care of the animals, taking part in the staff's dances and songs. Your opinion is important. All the staff are really welcoming, ready to help, and so much fun! It's quite hard work, but the kids' smiles or their words when they leave the place are worth more than it. A clear teaching program helps you teach even if you have no background or knowledge. The values of politeness, respect for life, the projection for a better future, or the prevention from sex abuses, drugs, or violence are the bases of all the programs, and are applied in Daktari, for kids or for adults. The joy, the kindness, and the team atmosphere made those 3 weeks very unique. Long life to Daktari !!!
A very complete project with special people, a very polite, attentive and incredible staff, a clean place that is always very well cared for by the employees, however, there are few work materials for employees, which leads to problems such as cleaning sponges, brooms and simple equipment, and because of this they have to cut grass with machetes and only one brushcutter, which is easily inoperable. The project needs more equipment for the quality of work of the employees and volunteers. The project is already well organized and with a few adjustments it will be perfect, the staff team is incredible.
An incredible place where you can interact with wild animals, learn about essential care and the importance of each one in the ecosystem, and also help with the classes for children who come to spend the week learning more about the importance of preserving the environment.
