DAKTARI received a call from one of former environmental education students, who came to DAKTARI and became an Eco club member. The Cape Vulture was found on the river bed, lying by itself. As the lady, now an adult, remembered that we rescue animals and knowing that Vultures are endangered, she understood the importance of calling DAKTARI.
Our team rushed to the rescue and found the Vulture very dehydrated. We drove it back to DAKTARI for emergency care and decided, the next morning, to take it to Moholoholo’s professional hands, where it will get a second chance at life.
