My stay at Daktari has been absolutely amazing. I’m so grateful for all the wonderful experiences and all the lovely people I’ve met. It’s an experience I will never forget!
Daktari is such an amazing place to volunteer. Getting to teach local children and look after animals has been the best experience! You get to make a real impact on the children and it is the best feeling knowing you’re making a huge difference for their futures and the future of South Africa. The staff are amazing and the volunteers you meet will become so special to you and potentially your friends for life. I’d really recommend doing volunteer work here if you want to make a real difference and be a part of something special in a special country.
I joined DAKTARI as a long-term volunteer in the role of Marketing Manager, and this experience will stay with me forever.

It was very rewarding to work with the children. The community with the other volunteers was also fantastic - you immediately feel like you're part of a big family.

Although I just spent one week at Daktari, it was an amazing experience! It definitely was not long enough and I wish I could stay longer. The people and environment were really great and welcoming. It was definitely a memorable time!
